Calling all budding Song Writers, Poets and Lyricists!
Trust Jack Foundation are extremely happy to be offering our new club for 10 weeks. Starting 30th March.
The Song Writers club will work with 6-8 young people for ten weeks, working on writing songs and poems. Young people will have the opportunity to record their vocals over backing music if they wish during the sessions too.
If young people play guitar or an instrument, they are more than welcome to bring it to the group if this helps with them writing.
Writing songs can be a great way to describe and work through all kinds of experiences. You can write songs by focusing on a theme, writing about something you care about, and writing from your own perspective. You can expand on your songs by rewriting to get the song just right, capturing images with your words, and finding inspiration everywhere. Sometimes the hardest part is just getting started.
And don’t worry, you need absolutely no experience to be able to join us. You simply need an open mind and a willingness to be curious.
