Trust Jack Foundation (TJF) was set up in 2015 in memory of Jack Hastie who suffered from adolescent depression. Sadly, after suffering from adolescent depression for five years he decided to end his life at the young age of 18 years old.
“Everybody who works or volunteers at Trust Jack Foundation has experience of what it feels like to suffer from or support someone with a mental health illness.”
Trust Jack Foundation is a registered charitable organisation, based in Stonehouse and we help people from North and South Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Glasgow.
Trust Jack Foundation is dedicated to supporting everyone age 11+, from young people to our older people and particularly those who are socially isolated or have been identified as either suffering from a mental health illness or are at high risk of suffering from a mental health illness. We are a mental health awareness and suicide prevention charity and we also offer support to anybody who supports someone with a mental health illness.
We work to improve the emotional well-being and mental health of our local community and beyond, through health and well-being services, therapy, workshops, education and activities.
At Trust Jack Foundation we have the most amazing volunteers, they are passionate, caring, professional and give up their own time to help others that are struggling with aspects of their life. At TJF we really value the involvement of volunteers, everyone brings a unique value and we recognize our volunteers as a core part of our team, we really can’t do it without them!
Our volunteers do not need any qualifications, they are there to support our employees and all that is required is that they have or had a mental health illness or have supported someone that’s had a mental health illness. We feel that you can’t know how it feels to live with a mental health illness, you really have to have lived it to fully understand what its like, what it feels like, what the darkness looks like and how our mind lies to us and how we believe it.
At Trust Jack Foundation we believe in offering flexible, tailored, bespoke solutions to support people with their mental health.
We have created a wide variety of services and activities to allow anyone who needs our support to find that group that suits their requirements whether that be a smaller, more intimate, niche group, a larger more sociable group or for those who need it, one to one support.
Our trained, experienced staff will ensure you feel welcome and because we believe anyone who needs our services should have access to our services and activities are offered to everyone free of charge.
At Trust Jack Foundation we believe in offering flexible, tailored, bespoke solutions to support people with their mental health.

Our Patron since the start of Trust Jack Foundation is the amazingly funny Glasgow comedian Mr. Gary Faulds. Gary has supported us from July 2018 and he has been an amazing Patron to us. Gary knows what its like to suffer from mental health illness and openly talks about his anxiety and how it affects him on a daily basis.
Gary started his own mental health men only group in Glasgow which has been very successful and continues to run today.
Gary joined us when we opened Jack’s Hub, has promoted our visions, our mission and long may it continue.
